Variations of the Stiff Leaf Structure
Margot Ecke

This workshop will explore a binding structure which keeps book planning simple and does not compromise the integrity of your printed work. Stiff leaf binding is adhered rather than sewn, allowing books to open completely to a full page spread with no thread interfering with composition, making the structure particularly appropriate for presenting printed and drawn material. This six-day intensive is designed for printmakers who make etchings as their primary print medium. Using your current work and ideas as a catalyst, Shelley will help you discover what aspects of your prints are unique to you and how to explore and expand your vision. The purpose of this class is to activate and accelerate your individual artistsic growth and generate momentum in all of your art making practices.

Silkscreen Printing

This workshop will introduce all of the essential techniques used in silkscreen printing today. Students will learn how to make and maintain their own screens, mix inks, and print using a variety of registration techniques for multi-color printing. Ann’s goal is to teach the basics then help you acquire the special skills you need to fully realize your vision. This class is open to all experience levels.
