Katrina's "morning after"

We're all worried about any of our friends and customers having to deal with Katrina's "morning after." ARTities Art Cafe, a fabulous paper store (that happens to carry dog eared magazine) is in New Orleans, and as store owners ourselves, we're terribly worried about them, and can only imagine having to pull not only your family and friends through something like this, but also your business. If anyone hears from them, please let me know.

We also have several subscribers in the area. Checking the dog eared magazine blog is likely the last thing they'd be thinking about at the moment, but if anyone knows of any dog eared magazine folks who need help, please let us know. kerrie at dogearedmagazine dot com.

Subject: Claudia Cohen Exhibit at Wessel & Lieberman Booksellers

Wessel & Lieberman Booksellers is currently showcasing an exhibit of the
bookbindings and pastepapers of Claudia Cohen. Claudia Cohen is a master
bookbinder & artist who specializes in limited editions, fine bindings,
and decorated papers. Clients have included Harvard University, NY Public
Library, the Whitney Museum, and many fine presses and collectors. She has
worked with artists such as Leonard Baskin and Barry Moser. Ms. Cohen
recently moved her bindery to Seattle from Western Massachusetts. The
present exhibition is the first to show the breadth of her work to a West
Coast audience.

features over 40 items. One item, "Bookbinding Ephemera", was produced
exclusively for the exhibit.
